What God Thinks About Our Giving

Mal 3:8,10-12- 8-Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.10-Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.11-And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

Exod 23:14-15-14-“Each year you must celebrate three festivals in my honor. 15-First, celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread. For seven days the bread you eat must be made without yeast, just as I commanded you. Celebrate this festival annually at the appointed time in early spring, in the month of Abib, for that is the anniversary of your departure from Egypt. No one may appear before me without an offering.

2Cor 9:6-7-6-Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.7-Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

1Sam16:15-17-15,23-Some of Saul’s servants said to him, “A tormenting spirit from God is troubling you.16-Let us find a good musician to play the harp whenever the tormenting spirit troubles you. He will play soothing music, and you will soon be well again.”17“All right,” Saul said. “Find me someone who plays well, and bring him here.”23-And whenever the tormenting spirit from God troubled Saul, David would play the harp. Then Saul would feel better, and the tormenting spirit would go away.
